The International Tonnage Certificate (1969) records the gross and net tonnage of a ship as determined under the International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships. Tonnage drives port dues, canal charges, manning scales and the application of many other conventions, so this certificate underpins a great deal of what follows it.

This is to certify that the tonnages of this ship have been determined in accordance with the provisions of the International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships, 1969. This document is issued in line with the provisions of the Haitian National Legislation comm. code-230-476 and under the authority of the Government of the Republic of Haiti, allowing the vessel to engage in international voyage following the International Maritime Conventions & Regulations.
