Terms of Service

The terms on which the Haiti International Ship & Corporate Registry makes this website and its online services available.

Last updated: 21 August 2026

Acceptance

By using www.hiscr.org you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website. These terms govern use of the website itself; the registration of a vessel and the issue of any certificate are governed separately by the Haitian National Legislation comm. code-230-476 and by the terms of the relevant application.

Information on this website

The registry publishes information here in good faith and keeps it current, but the website is a guide and not a substitute for formal advice or for the applicable law and conventions. Requirements, timelines and fees described on these pages may change, and specific cases may attract additional requirements.

Where a marine circular is in force, the circular itself prevails over any summary of it published on this website.

Certificate verification

The verification service reports what the register holds for a given certificate number at the moment of the lookup. A result confirms the record as held; it does not warrant the physical condition of a document presented to you, nor that the document in your hand is the one described.

Verification links printed on certificates are signed. A certificate number on its own does not open a record, and attempting to enumerate the register by editing a link is a misuse of the service.

Forms and downloads

Forms may be completed in your browser and downloaded. When you use that feature the completed document is generated on your own device and is not transmitted to the registry; submitting it is a separate step you take yourself. A downloaded form is not an application until the registry receives and accepts it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • reproduce, alter or reissue any certificate, form or registry document, or present any such document as genuine when it is not;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the administration panel, the register or any account;
  • scrape, enumerate or bulk-download the register, or circumvent rate limits and access controls;
  • use the website in a way that disrupts it or interferes with others' use.

The registry applies a zero-tolerance approach to document fraud and will report it to the relevant authorities.

Intellectual property

The HISCR name, the registry seal, the contents of this website and the design of its certificates and forms belong to the registry or its licensors. You may download and print material for your own use in dealing with the registry. Any other reproduction, and any use of the seal or name, requires written permission.

Availability

We aim to keep the website and the verification service available at all times, but they may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the registry is not liable for loss arising from reliance on information published on this website, from any interruption to it, or from the use of any document downloaded from it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to info@hiscr.org, or to tech@hiscr.org for technical and compliance matters.
